Garnet ring lookbook: how to style deep red

Our Mozambique garnet cluster ring photographed on the hand, with styling ideas.

How to style a garnet ring

Garnet is a deep, wine-red stone. Our Mozambique Garnet Cluster ring has a centre garnet (approx. 1.5 ct) surrounded by 8 smaller garnets in 925 sterling silver, so it reads as one rich red flower.

Stacking

A cluster ring already has plenty of detail, so keep the rest simple: a plain silver band on the same finger or a small clear stone on the next. Two red rings on one hand can feel heavy, so let the garnet be the only colour.

Outfits and occasions

Deep red suits autumn and winter: black, charcoal, burgundy, cream knits, camel coats and dark denim. It's festive for the holidays, dinners and the theatre, and it gives a plain outfit a classic touch every day.

Colour pairing

Garnet looks good next to clear cubic zirconia and pearls. For a bolder mix, try the peridot cluster ring on the other hand. Red and green clusters make a playful pair.

Quick care tip

Take the ring off for sport and housework, and keep it away from household chemicals. Clean it with lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush, then dry it well. Our sterling silver care guide has more tips.
